| Medium shot of drummer, the back drop is amplifiers and studio looking, the drummers attire is messy and laid back, a look we want to recreate in our own music video. |
As part of our A2 course in media we were given the design brief of creating promtional package for the release of an album, which included a music promo video together with a cover for it's release - a digipak and magazine advertisment for the digipak.

Preliminary Idea For Album Cover/Digipak
We wanted to create an album cover and digipak, which could be re-created but still related to The Kooks house style seen in their music videos and publicity photos. We felt that these images especially stood out as the setting is simple and could be located in any major city to small towns. Clothing can be interpreted, it reflects a laid back style and captures the young indie boy essence. The camera shot its self frames the band and keeps them central, it is a slightly high angled shot looking down on the band. This is effective as it captures the surrounding. The use of black and white makes the shot look vintage and edgy, and The Kooks also use alot of black and white photography. We want the digipak to be mainly black and white, with possibly hints of red to make the album name stand out amongst the grey scale colours.
